IMPONET Turkey workshop 20th-21st September 2011

Last 20th and 21st September the first IMPONET workshop took place in Turkey where different aspects of the project were reviewed.
The status of the initial project scope and planning were reviewed as well as the progress of the work in each, workpackage.

The main points that were shown in the workshop were:
     - WP1: review of the market drivers, state of the are of each module, requirements, user stories and operational guidelines.
     - WP2: the evaluation of the existing technologies was exposed as well as the analysis of critical interactions to new Smart Grid and third party applications. The first draft of the system architecture and design was also shown.
     - WP3: the communications components were revised.
     - WP4: the participants, the tasks participation and efforts were exposed.
     - WP5 the power quality monitoring specifications were reviewed.

And finally the workshop, reviewed the following points:
     - The Summarization of Project Plan / Milestones / Deliverables 
     - The Calendar of Forthcoming Activities 
     - ITEA 2011 Co-Summit (Helsinki) 
     - Overview of Administrative Issues (Portal Web Structure, ITEA Confidentiality Issues and ITEA Formal Document Structure).

IMPONET will be presented at the ITEA & ARTEMIS Co-summit 2011

On the 25th-26th October, the IMPONET project will be presented by the consortium members at the ITEA & ARTEMIS Co-summit 2011: Cross-border cooperation for clean technologies. It will be held in Scandic Marina Congress Center in Helsinki, Finland. It will be the 4th edition of the Co-summit, expecting over 600 participants from industry, academia, public authorities and press.

A poster will be hanged at the IMPONET stand to inform about the objectives, business value and expected results of the project. The poster also includes the consortium partners as well as the project worckpackage structure.

IMPONET is presented as a project that is focused on the requirements demanded by the electrical markets worldwide and one of its main objectives is the "real time" management of energy data. Furthermore, IMPONET will try to extend the energy management applications to the costumer.
